Jarvey Street, Bathgate
In 2014, we purchased a parcel of brownfield land in Bathgate, West Lothian. Our initial thoughts and personal experience of the area led us to conclude that a flatted development would be best suited to the general needs of the area. It was agreed that the area required an increased level of affordable housing and our project, working in partnership with the Wheatley Group, developing 42 mid-market rent properties, is now under construction.
Having worked previously with a Registered Social Landlord we understood the various requirements and as a business feel that it is important to work to produce social housing as part of our commitment to local communities and economies. These properties meet all RSL standards including secure by design and housing for varying needs. As a project, it is an example of ASD’s commitment to work within the social sector and not merely the private sector. We look to improve on the minimum standards and again provide homes, not houses, for people.
Nadir joined Albany Street developments in January 2017 as our Managing Director. As well as being involved in the day to day running of the business, he is responsible for identifying new development opportunities and overseeing marketing and sales.
Prior to joining Albany Street Developments, Nadir worked as a commercial property agent involved in the disposal, acquisition and development of office, residential and mixed use properties across Scotland, acting for private and public sector clients.
Nadir has ambitious plans for Albany Street Developments however his aspirations are firmly rooted in retaining the ethos of the company, which is building homes for clients and not just houses.
Grant joined the company in 2018 to expand and develop our commercial team.
Having been involved in property development for over 18 years, Grant has worked with both national and local companies to manage all commercial aspects of various refurbishment and new build housing projects. He was also heavily involved in the acquisition of over £450M of businesses into one of the largest national housebuilders, and as a result has a wide range of experience in business.
Grant brings a wealth of commercial experience, and is responsible for producing and controlling all budgets within the company. He ensures that they are regularly reviewed to provide the best value on projects for both external, and internal clients alike.
